How Cast Steel Gate Valves Work
The gate moves perpendicular to the flow. Когда полностью открыт, it retracts from the flow path; когда закрыто, it contacts the seats to isolate the pipeline. Standard gate valves are intended for fully open or fully closed service, rather than continuous throttling.
What to Specify Before Ordering
- Valve size and connection standard.
- Design and operating pressure and temperature.
- Fluid, including any corrosive constituents or solids.

Nominal pressure or class should be checked with the selected material’s pressure-temperature rating. A class designation is not a single pressure that applies at every temperature.

Apply lubrication only to the locations and with the products specified for that valve.
